Cruise Itinerary A

Luxor / Aswan
3 Nights / 4 Days

Day 1: Luxor / Board Cruise
You will be transferred from point of your arrival or your hotel in Luxor to board cruise at 12 PM. Lunch will be served aboard the cruise, followed by guided tour to visit East Bank to see Karnak temple dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu, each pharaoh left memory of him there and it let u to pass across centures.Continue your tour in Luxor temple builded by Amenhotep III with  grandeur intention and have great number of pillars.It was connected by 3 kilimetres paved alley of sphinxes with Karnak Temple.Then you will be transferred to board to have dinner. Overnight stay will be in Luxor.

Day 2: Luxor
You will have breakfast at the board and then visit West Bank of the Nile River. You will start from Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statue of Amenhotep III, then visit valley of the Kings, where tombs were hide deep into desert rock, richly decorated with treasure for afterlife of the pharaohs, you will visit 3 of them. Continue tour to Hatshepsut temple rises from desert rock with series of terraces, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut only famous female pharaoh.Afterwards you will sail to Edfu, during sailing lunch will be served. Free time at leisure. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 3: Edfu / Kom Ombo
Breakfast on board, followed by visiting Edfu Temple. It is the best preserved and the second largest after Karnak. It was dedicated to the falcon headed god Horus. The temple you will see was built during the reigns of six Ptolemies – begun in 237 BC and finished in 57 BC. Edfu was believed to have been the site of the great battle between Horus and Seth. Afterwards sailing to Kom Ombo to visit Kom Ombo Temple built during the Graeco-Roman period. The temple is unique because it is in fact a double temple, dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed god. The layout combines two temples in one with each side having its own gateways and chapels. Free time at lesure. Lunch and dinner on the board, overnight in Aswan.

Day 4: Aswan / Disembark Cruise
Breakfast will be served aboard the cruise, then disembark cruise, followed by guided tour in Aswan to visit High Dam built in 1970. With the dam created a reservoir of water, called Lake Nasser.The Dam is 114 metres high and 3.6 kilometres long; The Unfinished Obelisk lies, in its original location, in a granite quarry in Aswan. It is 42m in length and was most probably abandoned when some cracks appeared in the rock, during its construction. Had this obelisk been completed, it would have been the heaviest obelisk ever cut in Ancient Egypt, weighing nearly 1100 tons! Also you will visit Temple of Isis at Philae is one of the greatest Temples in Egypt and it occupies about a quarter of the island. It is the main Temple on the island, with its huge, complete, pylons and beautiful scenes.Sailling by feluca around Kitchener’s island. After you will have transfer to the point of your departure in Aswan.

Aswan / Luxor

Day 1: Aswan / Board Cruise

A cruise down the world’s longest river is the perfect way to spend your holidays in Egypt. Aswan

Abu Simbel

No holiday in Egypt is complete without a trip to Abu Simbel. Visiting this breathtaking site is possible during a Nile cruise holiday. Abu Simbel consists of two massive rock temples situated on the banks of Lake Nasser. The temples were carved during the reign of Rameses II and depict him and Queen Nefertari to commemorate his victory at the Battle of Kadesh. If you can arrange your holiday in Egypt during the month of October then you should definitely attempt to visit the festival on the 22nd. On this date at sunrise, shafts of light illuminate the statues of Ramses, Ra and Amun, leaving Ptah, the god of darkness, firmly in the shadows. Ramses arranged this bout of architectural egotism to commemorate his birthday and coronation, the temple also lights up in February. However due to the fact that the temple was moved during the 1960s, the festival now takes place a day later than Ramses had originally intended.

Luxor

Luxor is the final port of call for your Nile cruise holiday in Egypt and it is from here that you can arrange an excursion to the nearby Valley of the Kings. Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs were buried in this valley for nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th centuries BC. The valley is known to contain over 63 tombs and the most famous of these is that of Tutankhamen. The tombs at the Valley of the Kings differ in size from a simple pit to a more complex tomb with over 120 differing chambers. Whilst on your holidays in Egypt you can also visit the Temple of Luxor which has a dromos of Sphinx connecting it to the nearby Karnak Temple. Between Karnak and Luxor Temples is the famous Mummification Museum which features everything you could possibly want to know about mummification and even has a few mummified remains for you to look at. Luxor’s bustling bazaars are the perfect place to end your holidays in Egypt and as they sell all manner of items, from effigies of ancient gods to spices and fragrant incense, they are the perfect place to pick up a souvenir or two of your Nile cruise adventure.
